One of my favourite deck types besides combo is tribal. And while Innistrad wasn’t as tribal happy as say Onslaught, the one shining light besides the angels were the humans. Their light would not be extinguished and unlike the darker magical critters of the night, they can keep multiplying endlessly without needing a host.

OK fine, humans do need a female host – but are we really going to get into a biology lesson now?

At any rate, Humans ‘R’ Us shows that not only are the humans here, but they’re going to take anything and anyone down with a little help from their friends. This deck compounds quickly between all the token generation (Commander’s Authority, Gather the Townsfolk, Increasing Devotion, Thraben Doomsayer); the enchantment boost (Parallel Lives, Cathars’ Crusade, Perilous Forays); and nasty Humans (Devout Chaplain, Champion of Lambholt, Juniper Order Ranger).

Add to that the combo factors such as the aforementioned Champion of Lambholt and Juniper Order Ranger as well as the Craterhoof Behemoth. When you throw down a Champion and then add the Cathars’ Crusade and token gen, this deck will get ridiculous and very dangerous – very quickly. To get really ridonculous, throw down a Craterhoof Behemoth – your Champion will basically mean that your critters will be unblockable and huge!

Now if you’ve got the cards or money, sub out Parallel Lives for Doubling Season. Add to that Parallel Evolution, just do that once with Champion and again you’re ready to rumble right over your opponent.
